Albert Fabozzi founded the annual Tompkins Square Park holiday tree-lighting ceremony in 1992 to honor his partner, Glenn Barnett. What began as a memorial for those lost during the AIDS crisis became a lasting neighborhood tradition, and the neighborhood is saddened to learn of Albert’s recent passing at the age of 85. Join us at a celebration of his life at the holiday tree in Tompkins Square Park. Attendees are encouraged to bring flowers for the base of Albert and Glenn’s tree. Veselka and C&B Cafe will provide coffee and cookies.
